Marriott International announced the signing of an agreement with Oberoi Realty Limited to debut the company's flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, in Mumbai along with the iconic JW Marriott brand. This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies and signals growing confidence in Mumbai's real estate development trajectory.

The JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City will be set in Oberoi Garden City, Thane, an integrated development spread across 75 acres which will also consist of luxury residences and the Oberoi International School. With the existing robust infrastructure and planned connectivity, Thane has created its own identity as an aspirational destination. This five-star hotel will anchor one of the region's most ambitious mixed-use developments, combining hospitality excellence with premium residential offerings.

The Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City will be part of Sky City, an integrated living development, which has 8 luxury residential towers and the premium Sky City Mall that spans over 1.5 million square feet within 25 acres in Borivali East. The two properties are designed to complement each other, offering diverse experiences across the metropolitan region while catering to both leisure and business travelers.

The JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City, slated for 2025, along with the Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City anticipated in 2026, will collectively contribute 560 rooms to the financial hub of India. The Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City will feature three dining venues, comprising an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a patisserie, in addition to a bar lounge and the Greatroom lobby—a globally recognized brand signature. The hotel intends to incorporate amenities such as the M Club lounge, a fitness centre, Quan Spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces.
